Jen Hastings has been in the retail industry for 20 years and has experience at all levels of
management. Her experience is also supported by her education at Algonquin College where
she completed 2 years of Business Administration and Retail Management. Within the past 10
years, she has worked as an Assistant Manager and Store Manager in the Fashion industry
and made the move to the health and beauty industry where she became a Store Manager in
a fast paced hair salon and retail store. During her five years as Salon Manager, she realized
the passion she had for the beauty industry particularly when it came to helping clients
improve their self image and self confidence. After her 5 year tenure, she decided to realize
her dream of opening her own salon and spa in the community in which she lives after
researching different communities and locations for a year. With every decision in building
her salon, she has considered the value, education and quality that each service and product
will bring to her clients. Jen believes in building a strong team foundation with the care,
knowledge and expertise needed to provide our clients with the best possible customer
experience that they deserve. To be able to continue to offer the best to her clients, Jen and
her staff will have the opportunities for ongoing education in the product lines and services
offered at Hair Expectations Salon and Spa while also considering any new products and
services that may become available. Jen and her staff look forward to helping you at Hair

Growing up surrounded by the industry, watching her mother a former stylist who in her later years took aesthetics, allowed for easy transition into the salon business. With five years of working experience in various positions and salons in Ottawa. This experience has allowed her to focus on creating the best possible atmosphere for the Salon & Spa insuring complete customer satisfaction. She has attended many private courses in gel nails, make up artistry and eyelash extensions as well as attended the Ottawa Academy in 2007. She graduated with Honours receiving her diploma in aesthetics, make up artistry, electrolysis, microdermabrasion and laser hair removal. Services Provided: Specializes in advanced facials, microdermabrasion & electrolysis as well as performs all basic aesthetics services. Schedule days: Monday-Saturday |

Heather is a licensed stylist and comes to Hair Expectations with over 14 years of experience
in the beauty industry. She has extensive colour experience and is well versed in today's
trends. Heather will also meet your needs should you want the classic touch.
Heather's goal is to listen to your needs and make sure that you can create your style at
home too. Heather's passion for hair will guide you in tweaking your current style or defining

Vange |
Vange graduated from the West End Academy for hairstyling and make-up artistry 4 years ago. Prior to graduating, Vange grew to enjoy the beauty environment by working as an assistant. Since graduating, she has worked as a stylist and loves the creative side of hairstyling. Vange is energized to be a part of the Hair Expectations team where she can use her talents to make people feel confident and good. Alicia knew what she wanted for her career at a very young age. She started working in a hair salon when she was 17 as an assistant. After graduating highschool, she went to St lawrence college in Kingston where she became certified in the hairstyling program. For the past 12 yrs of her career she has worked in different areas of Ottawa and Downtown Toronto, where she has found inspiration and new techniques from other stylists along the way. She has had the privilege on being asked to do some very unique and exciting jobs, such as doing the hair of different photoshoots for various businesses like the (Metropolitan Brasserie)and she was interviewed on her Career as a hairstylist (Loyal to the Grave) that appeared in the Ottawa Citizen and the Toronto Star. Her mission is to make her clients look and feel the best they can. It is also important for her to teach her clients how to maintain their style at home or to give them an easy style that does not require a lot of maintenance. Alicia is always striving to learn new things by keeping up with courses so she can take your colour and hairstyle to the next level!
